🏔️ Cayman Islands property veteran to scale Mt Aconcagua for charity

Martyn Bould, a long-standing figure in the Cayman Islands property sector, is preparing to take on an ambitious challenge. The 78-year-old plans to climb Mt Aconcagua in Argentina, one of the world's tallest mountains, in 2024. This initiative, named "Climb for Red", aims to raise funds for the Cayman Islands Red Cross to support their work in disaster management and child protection. 🏔️

Bould has been training intensively for the 6,961m (22,838ft) ascent, including practising a breathing programme known as "Oxygen Advantage" and altitude training in Colorado and Utah. He has previously climbed mountains in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Bhutan, Colorado, and Tanzania to raise money for the Cayman Islands Red Cross. The eighteen-day trek to the peak of Mt Aconcagua will require acclimatisation to reduced oxygen levels and a 12-hour climb on summit day. 🧗‍♂️

The "Climb for Red" initiative is a bold move by the Cayman Islands Red Cross to raise awareness and vital funds for their disaster preparedness and response programmes. The public can follow Bould’s journey on the CIRC’s social media accounts and can donate to the campaign. 💰
