The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) is set to host the globally recognized Police Week for the first time in nearly three decades this November. As part of the event, the RCIPS is calling for contributions of police artefacts, photographs, or records for a pop-up police museum. The theme for this year's event is โ€œHonouring the Past, Embracing the Present, Securing the Futureโ€. The week-long event is designed to honor and support police officers worldwide, and will provide an opportunity for retired officers and the families of those who have passed away to pay tribute to those who have dedicated their lives to service. ๐Ÿš”

The Police Museum will be open to the public throughout Police Week. The RCIPS is particularly interested in items from former and retired police officers, as well as from the families of deceased officers, to help recreate the history of the RCIPS. Officials have stated that they are willing to restore any items if necessary for display in the museum. In addition to the museum, the RCIPS will also host the Volunteer Law Enforcement Officer Alliance (VLEOA) Training Conference for the first time in the Cayman Islands, with global members participating in Police Week activities to gain a historical understanding of the evolution of policing in the Cayman Islands. ๐Ÿ“œ
