🌊 Cayman Islands Coast Guard rescues seven migrants at sea

The Cayman Islands Coast Guard (CICG) successfully carried out a rescue mission last night, saving seven migrants who were adrift at sea. The Operations Rescue Coordination Centre (ORCC) had received a notification about a raft floating some 20 nautical miles northeast of Grand Cayman. The coastguard immediately dispatched one of its patrol vessels to locate and rescue the individuals. 🚁

Upon rescue, the group was transported to the coastguard base and subsequently handed over to Customs and Border Control. The CICG expressed its gratitude to the United States Coast Guard D7 Rescue Coordination Center and MV NFE Explorer for their assistance in the rescue operation.
