The Cayman Islands national team made a triumphant return from the CARIFTA Games, boasting a haul of medals. The highlight of the event was the performance of sprinters Davonte Howell and Jaiden Reid in the under 20’s 100 metre final. Howell won gold with an impressive time of 10.15 seconds, setting a personal best and a new junior national record. His teammate Reid was not far behind, securing the silver medal with a time of 10.34 seconds, edging out Jamaica's Javorne Dunkley. The one-two finish for the Cayman Islands was a historic moment for the athletes. 🏅

Meanwhile, the Cayman Islands swimming team also had a successful outing at the regional youth games in the Bahamas. They managed to secure several medals, including a gold in the under-18s 400-metre medley relay.
