šŸŒ€ Cayman Airways increases flights ahead of Hurricane Beryl

As Hurricane Beryl moves closer to the Cayman Islands, Cayman Airways (CAL) has announced additional evacuation flights for residents and visitors who wish to leave before the storm hits. Two flights to Miami are scheduled for Tuesday night, with five more set for Wednesday morning. The move comes as the Cayman Islands Airport Authority (CIAA) confirmed that all airport operations will cease on Wednesday evening due to the impending hurricane. šŸŒŖļø

The CIAA stated that flights will stop at 6:00pm at the Owen Roberts International Airport and at 3:00pm at the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport on Cayman Brac. Airport operations are expected to resume once the 'all clear' has been given following Hurricane Beryl. In light of the situation, the Department of Tourism has announced that most airlines flying into ORIA will waive change fees for passengers who have had to cancel or alter their travel plans between 1 July and 4 or 5 July due to the hurricane. However, passengers are advised to contact their airlines directly. šŸ“ž
