🚨 Cayman Airways flight makes emergency landing
Emergency situation triggered due to aircraft's flap failure
Cayman Airways Flight 481, en route from Los Angeles, made a safe emergency landing at Owen Roberts International Airport. The emergency was called following a failure of the aircraft's flaps. The Boeing Max8 aircraft left Los Angeles 36 minutes behind schedule and landed one hour and 35 minutes late. 🛬
Prior to landing, the aircraft burned off excess fuel and waited for a CAL Express aircraft and another CAL jet arriving from Panama to land first. The Cayman Islands Fire Service is currently inspecting the aircraft which landed safely on the runway. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available. 🚒
