šŸŽ‰ Carnival weekend sees minimal arrests

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) reported that this year's carnival weekend was largely peaceful, with only four arrests made during the Saturday festivities. Despite the large crowds and busy atmosphere, there were very few incidents. The first arrests occurred around 7:30pm when officers intervened in an altercation between three women on West Bay Road. The women were arrested for affray, and one was also charged with making threats to kill. They were taken to the Cayman Islands Police Detention Centre and later released on bail pending further investigations. šŸš”

Later in the evening, an altercation between a security guard and a 37-year-old man from Bodden Town resulted in the man's arrest. He was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, threats to kill, and assaulting a police officer. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. The police are also investigating another fight between three women during the parade, which was circulated on social media, but no formal reports have been made. Superintendent Roje Williams expressed satisfaction with the overall success of the carnival festivities, thanking the public for their cooperation and adherence to the law. šŸŽ
