A 52-year-old Canadian man tragically lost his life while swimming at Rum Point in the Cayman Islands. The man, who was visiting the islands, was found unconscious in the water on Friday afternoon. Bystanders brought him to the boat he had been on and administered CPR. šāāļø
Emergency services arrived at the nearest dock around 3pm and transported the man to the Cayman Islands hospital. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. This incident marks the eighth water-related fatality in the Cayman Islands in 2023. šØ
