🚔 Bodden Town woman arrested on suspicion of shoplifting

A 31-year-old woman from Bodden Town was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at a store located on Cardinal Avenue. The incident occurred on the afternoon of December 29. The woman reportedly confronted the store's staff when she was accused of attempting to steal goods. The situation escalated when police officers on foot patrol arrived at the scene around 3:40 pm, prompting the woman to flee. 🏃‍♀️

The officers chased the suspect on foot and managed to apprehend her in a nearby parking lot. Following her arrest for theft-shoplifting, she was taken to the Cayman Islands Detention Centre. The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) reported that one officer was injured during the arrest. 🚑
