🚴‍♂️ Armed robber escapes on bicycle after restaurant heist

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a restaurant on Eastern Avenue, George Town, in the early hours of Monday. The police were alerted to the incident just after 1am, when a masked individual brandishing a firearm appeared at the restaurant's food service hatch. The robber demanded money from a staff member who was preparing to close the establishment for the night. 🚔

The employee complied, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash to the robber, who then fled the scene on a bicycle. The suspect headed along Eastern Avenue towards Shedden Road. He is described as being around 30 years old, 5'10", of slim build, with light brown skin, and speaking with a Caymanian accent. He was wearing gloves, a mask, and a hooded jacket. The police are appealing to anyone who might have witnessed the incident or has any information to come forward. 🕵️‍♂️
