✈️ American Airlines to launch daily Dallas-Cayman route

American Airlines has unveiled plans to initiate a non-stop service between Dallas Fort Worth and Grand Cayman by the end of the year. This move comes as part of the ongoing recovery efforts of the tourism sector post-pandemic. The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism has been working in close collaboration with the airline to promote the seasonal route, which is scheduled to operate through April 2025. 🏖️

As per the latest Department of Tourism statistics, the Cayman Islands welcomed 429,284 visitors in the previous year, marking a decrease of 73,455 from 2019, the last full pre-pandemic year and a record-breaking year for tourism. The tourism ministry is aiming to increase airline seats in 2024, with American Airlines being one of the US-based carriers expected to boost airlift. The daily service to Dallas is seen as a positive sign of Cayman's popularity among Texans. 🛫

Tourism Director Rosa Harris expressed her appreciation for American Airlines' partnership and their confidence in Cayman as a destination. She stated that the new service would provide an opportunity for both new and repeat visitors from Dallas to experience the unique offerings of the Cayman Islands, whether it's celebrating the new year on Seven Mile Beach, participating in the Cayman Cookout in January, or planning a romantic getaway or family vacation. 🏝️
