Local activist group Protect Our Future (POF) is campaigning for a managed retreat along Seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands, and a change in planning policy to address how developers define the mean high water mark (HWM). The group is using social media to raise awareness about beach erosion, particularly in relation to a proposed redevelopment of the Aqua Bay condo complex into a ten-storey glass tower.
